On September 11^th 2001 I was in the second grade and all I knew was that I was getting out of school early that day for some reason. It didn’t meant much of anything to me then, but when I think about that day every time it rolls around I stop and about, yes how terrible it was and how sad it is that all those lives were lost for nothing, but I also think about how quickly this nation came together. At that moment there were no blacks, whites, Mexicans, Asians, there were AMERICANS. It didn’t take much more that about 2 weeks before people got back to the usual way of life but for those few day gave a glimpse of how great this nation would be if we all thought of our self’s as Americans.
